Bluegrass Tribute Americana Bluegrass

"Big Al" is Proud to Release the 2nd in a series  "Always In It For The Long Haul".  Originally from West Virginia,  he now resides in Nebraska.  and has been working on his first solo project for 3 years.  "Big Al" wrote and co-wrote the songs for this album along with Cliff Abbott of Birmingham, Alabama,  also a Professional Manager in the trucking industry,  and Craig Larson of West Point,  Nebraska,  Manager of KTIC Radio Station,  bringing the gift of many talented words to this album as well with his song "Martha's Roadside Cafe",  together they put the life of the truckers with the traditional bluegrass music producing an album of stories and events that share the lifestyle the truck driver leads,  to preserve what each song represents in this dedication to the truck driver "Big Al" created this album in its true form,  he sings the album live and natural with no computer generation, keeping  its original form as he will perform it on stage many years to come,  further enhancing the true Americana bluegrass traditional style as Bill Monroe and many great performers have worked to preserve. 

"Big Al" Weekley, professional truck driver for 31 years, bluegrass and gospel radio show host, touring musician, song writer and and producer of the first "For The Long Haul"  volume 1 album series released in 2003 featuring top entertainers including Dave Dudley, Leroy Van Dyke, James King, Don Rigsby, and many others.

"Big Al" invited special guests and top entertainers to join him on this special project.  They have done nothing short of and excellence preformance for this album as "Big Al" is accustomed to with these great musicians and friends.

"Big Al" Weekley song writer, lead vocalist, bass player has dedicated his life to his truck driving along with his love of bluegrass music.  "Big Al" has toured all around the country as a friend and guest of the James King Band and other top entertainers,  he is a well known and followed musician, and radio show host of a leading bluegrass and gospel show.  "Big Al" brought the first bluegrass festivals to Nebraska with many top entertaining  shows that continue today.

Kevin Prater- well known top entertainer and great friend sings vocals, plays the guitar, mandolin and dobro on this special "Long Haul" album.  Kevin has many of his own albums on the market and has toured with the James King Band for over 10 years.  He is the owner of Sound Makers Studio in Belcher, Kentucky.

Tom Timberlake- also a long time friend and well known musician shares his talented vocals and banjo.  Tom was a member of Lonzo and Oscar of the Grand Ol Opry for many years and has toured all around the country.  Tom makes his home in Flatwoods, Kentucky.  "Big Al" along with Kevin and Tom co-produced this new album,  "Always In It For The Long Haul".

Adam Haynes- an over-the-top' fiddler adds his special expert talents to this album along with twin-fiddle effects that tell a tale on their own.  Adam has toured the country with the James King Band and many other top performers,  as another good friend of "Big  Al's"  he makes his home in  Pikeville, Kentucky.

Beth Coleman-  a special guest vocalist has released her own solo album,  she entertains us with her gifted talent on  the song  "Victim of a  Truck Driver's  Life"  duo along with  "Big  Al";  Beth is originally from Virginia,  she now makes her home in New Jersey.

Executive Producer Dave "Hoot" Gibson' a professional truck driver dedicated to that life style and to Americana bluegrass music.   He made the production of this album possible.
